Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook dates in water until softened.
Step 2
Chop them up in pan and cook until most the water has evaporated.
Step 3
And salt lightly.
Step 4
Add oats, pecans and water (to just cover) to rice cooker; mine took 20 minutes.
Step 5
Add more water as needed.
Step 6
Add butter last 5 minutes of cooking.
Step 7
Add honey as a topping to taste.
