"From my daughters collection, a family recipe her young son choose to add to the cookbook created as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of our local school. It's one of those "you just can't eat one' kind of cookie, this old fashioned cookie is so easy, so good and one that sees to recipe requests. Great for filling the cookie jar."

My husband loves nuts in his cookies so I added about 1 cup of walnuts in. They came out so good. I loved the coconut with the nuts and oats!
