Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix the beef, water chestnuts and green onions together.

Step 2

Shape the mixture into 6 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick. Place the patties in an ungreased 10 X 6 X 1 3/4-inch baking dish.

Step 3

Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over the patties. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, turning the patties once.

Step 4

Remove the patties from the marinade. Broil or grill the patties 4-inches from the heat, turning once, until the desired doneness is reached, about 10 to 15 minutes. Brush frequently with the leftover marinade.

Step 5

Serve on buns or rolls with your favorite toppings.

Loaded with flavour. I didn't chop the water chestnuts too fine so they left more crunch. The marinade is not spicy but has a lovely soft mellow flavour. I served the burger on a low cal flat bread. Added lettuce, sweet onion, tomato & a slice of Jalapeno Havarti Cheese. Another do it again Burger

We enjoyed this for our dinner tonight. I have had my eye on this recipe since Round 1. I will have to make this for my son who likes teriyaki burgers. Made for CQ2.

This had excellent flavor! Marinating it in the sauce made my meat a little loose, so I pan fried the burgers. Served with some hoisin sauce on buns with lettuce, tomato and red onion.
