Step by Step Method

Step 1

Season the pork roast with salt, pepper and garlic powder; add to skillet and brown roast in oil on all sides; transfer to slow cooker.

Step 2

In a large bowl combine the pineapple juice, pineapple, brown sugar,vinegar and soy sauce; pour over the roast.

Step 3

Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees.

Step 4

Remove roast and keep warm.

Step 5

Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Step 6

Meanwhile strain cooking juices; transfer to a large saucepan.

Step 7

Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into cooking juices, then serve with the pork roast

I skipped the extra crushed pineapples... accidentally put in the cornstarch and left the water out. LOL... I didn't have time to crock pot it so I used my red painted cast iron deep pan... put some oil and rubbed dry ingredients onto roast. Heated the stove to 450 degrees for 10 minutes put all wet ingredients in and then down to 250 degrees for 1 hour. My kids didn't want the sauce until I had them try it. My son said, "Mom you make a really good food". LOL... I love it!!! Though next time I will start early enough and have all the ingredients... Thanks again!!!!!! :O)

Made this for dinner and our son wanted seconds. Loved it. I served it with fried rice and it was so good Kit. Thank you so much for a great recipe that will be made again.
