"This is a flat cookie that has a lovely crisp edge, but bends before it breaks - unlike crunchy cookies, which snap cleanly in two. Raisins both enhance the cookie's flavor and add additional moistness, and nuts lend their own distinct, toasty taste. Source: The King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion."

Very good cookies which we enjoyed. We skipped the nuts and also used dark corn syrup (as we were out of the light syrup). Delicious! Thanks fo Sharing!
