"This is an adaptation of a recipe that is all over the place, surprised it's not already on this site! I think the original is from Betty Crocker. I use Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines cake mixes - they always turn out great! You can use any flavor you want, although he original states chocolate. Because there's just the two of us, I store the cookie dough in the refrigerator and just bake up four cookies at a time."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°.
Step 2
Stir dry cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl until dough forms.
Step 3
Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll balls in granulated or confectioners' sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Step 4
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until center is barely set, then remove from oven. Let cool for about two minutes on cookie sheet, then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Use any flavor cake mix you like. Strawberry is really good, too. The confectioners sugar tends to get absorbed by the cookie before baking - so I usually use the granulated sugar. For a flavor kick, I add cinnamon to the sugar when using a devils food cake mix.
