Step by Step Method
Step 1
Soak beans in enough water to cover, overnight
Step 2
Drain and rinse.
Step 3
Melt butter and add onion and garlic. Saute for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add fresh tomato and sugar.
Step 5
Saute for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add Rotels, beans, sausage and enough water to cover beans by one inch.
Step 7
Cook 2 hours or until tender.
Step 8
Add salt and pepper.
Step 9
Serve over rice.
