"This is my husband's favorite slow cooker soup - we keep frozen okra on hand just for this soup! I start this in the morning on "high" as we get ready for work/school and turn it to "low" to cook while we are away. Low sodium products work well as there are several salty ingredients in this recipe. I serve this flavorful soup with corn muffins and a green salad. It is from Rodale Press' "Your Family Will Love It." "
