"My mother was given this by a co-worker it was her grandmothers recipe. It is now a family tradition For both Christmas and thanksgiving that I make this recipe it is asked about If I made something else. we eat in place of cranberry relish. Some people afterwards put on there sandwiches. I always have to make huge amount so people can take some home. Make 3 days in advance as flavors are best if you give it time to mingle. You can make with sugar free for those watching weight or diabetics. Buy Fresh cranberries and freeze to prevent splatters."

I usually make this at holiday time but I wanted to try this one out when I had company with an oven baked chicken dinner. Everyone loved it and told me they want it for the holidays so from now on we will. This is a divine salad and it went so well with our meal. I will proudly serve it!
