"I always give credit where credit is due, so I'm obliged to thank Danelle at Let's Dish since this recipe was an original for her. -- Last yr I made spiced apple cider in my slow cooker that was a big hit w/the adults & kids at our annual 3-family Thanksgiving dinner. I'm certain this recipe using Red Hots cinnamon candies will exceed that success by a wide margin. My Mom used Red Hots candies for her baked apples & I even add 6-8 of them to my morning coffee for a lovely cinnamon flavor. This recipe would be esp good for the holiday season, but also works for Valentines Day or cold winter nights when you want an easy-fix that's warming & family-friendly. I tried a "mini version" as a taste test & the aroma is divine! ENJOY!"
