"This was a recipe I picked up while visiting the Gulf Coast, and the flavour combination is nothing short of amazing. Certainly not something you'd eat every day, but they're definitely worth the fat and calories for a treat every now and then."

Flavor was good, but didn't like the texture using canned beans. If I made them again I would use fresh string beans.

Great veggie side! I used whole frozen green beans because we don't eat any canned vegetables. Worked well and they were delicious!

These turned out very nice. Both the wife and myself liked them. I would like to suggest to let these rest for about 20 minutes after cooking to let the flavors blend. I came to this conclusion when I went for seconds. We used frozzen beans and maple and hickory smoked slab bacon diced. Nice recipe.

I used fresh green beans and these were made as part a special Southern meal for my friends that came from Georgia. We all loved them and my friend requested the recipe. Thanks!
