Step 1

Place all salad ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 2

Make the dressing: Mix the Miracle Whip, vinegar, and oil, sugar. Mix smooth. Taste should be sweet with just a hint of vinegar. Amount of slaw dressing may be increased or decreased according to the amount of slaw you are making. Pour over the salad ingredients, using two large forks toss all together.

Step 3

Add in pepper.

Step 4

Place in fridge.

Step 5

Let stand 1-hour or more if possible to let flavors mix.

No special items needed.



I used everything but the radishes and Miracle Whip. I used mayo and just used a bit more vinegar and sugar to get a good result. Very good!

What a fantastic coleslaw this is! I did use pre shredded red and green cabbage from the supermarket and only had red bell pepper on hand, which I used instead of green. Apart from cutting down a little on the sugar, and a colour change with the vegetables, I made this recipe as written and ....WOW... we just loved it. Creamy with a slight tang, and very similar taste to the K.F.C. coleslaw here in Australia, which I love. A bonus for me to find such a similar recipe to K.F.C! This will be made often in this household, as the whole family really enjoy this recipe. Thanks ChefJeff.... a winner for us!
