Step by Step Method

Step 1

Add cinnamon to water add raisins; bring to a boil. Add oats. Cook oatmeal. stirring alot.

Step 2

Add butter and walnuts at end of cooking

Step 3

Mix topping, adding milk 1 tablespoon at a time until loose but not runny. Put on top of oatmeal. I saw others do a swirl but I am not that fancy.

Step 4

Ok for picture I tried with ziploc baggie sort of lol.

A tasty oatmeal, that was like a cinnamon roll. All the flavors came together nicely, and the "frosting" was good on it. I tweaked this a little - reversed the water and oatmeal ratios, halved the cinnamon and used more walnuts/vanilla. I made a quarter recipe to serve one, and was a happy camper :)

It's was bitter cold here in Maine today and I wanted something to warm my tummy so I made this oatmeal for breakfast, only cutting it down for just me. It tasted so yummy. I loved everything about it!
