FAQ

Q: How long should the French Toast be refrigerated?

A: At least 8 hours or overnight for the best results. This allows the egg mixture to soak into the bread, ensuring a soft and flavorful French Toast.

Q: What type of bread is best for French Toast?

A: It is best to use a slightly stale, thick-cut bread for French Toast, such as brioche, challah, or Texas toast. These types of breads absorb the egg mixture better, resulting in a more flavorful dish.

Quick and easy works for us when we are hungry, and we love this for breakfast! No booze in ours. Just butter and sugar cinnamon or powdered sugar.

Made 2 servings and used cinnamon bread. Oh my word... Such a lovely breakfast! I didn't use the liqueur, and we topped it with butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar then a drizzle of Aunt Jemima's. "Heavenly", said my dh.

I was fixing to have some french toast and remembered seeing this here so I did a search and decided to make it. I cut the recipe in half and had enough for us. It was a welcome change to my usual very simple style of cooking for breakfast. We loved it and will have it many more times!

I can't believe how good these are! What a great new way to fix french toast. I will make these for us on a regular basis. I have had them with syrup and butter, and cinnamon and sugar and butter. I am going to make them next with a fruit sauce on top. YUM!
