Step by Step Method
Preheat oven to 350F
Grease a 15x10x1 inch baking pan and set aside
In a large saucepan, melt the 1 cup butter and the unsweetened chocolate over low heat.
Remove from heat and stir in the eggs, sugar, and vanilla till combined
Stir in flour
Spread mixture in prepared pan and bake for 25 min. Let cool
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine powdered sugar and the 1/2 cup butter. Beat on low speed till combined
Gradually add the cream, and the 1/4 cup sherry, mixing well.
Stir in nuts
Spread over crust and chill until firm
In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in the remaining sherry till smooth.
Drizzle chocolate mixture over chilled bars and chill till set, but not firm
Score bars with a knife to outline bars and chill till firm (this will make cutting easier)
Cut into bars
