"Pretty old cheese spread recipe. They used a grinder but a food processor could be used. From Sally Grosserode; recipe was probably used at lent; it needs to chill overnight in refrigerator."

Step 1

Put onions, hard boiled eggs, and cheese through grinder

Step 2

Set aside.

Step 3

Boil together milk, sugar, vinegar, flour, salt, and butter whisking until thickened.

Pour immediately over cheese mixture while hot

Step 5

Beat with a mixer.

Step 6

Let set in refrigerator overnight

Step 7

Better to spread next day.
