This is an awesome salmon recipe that I enjoy making on the grill, while the salmon is marinated soak your planks in water, and if cedar-planking is still not for you here's another way to do it, just place the salmon in a well-greased grill fish basket either way this is an awesome recipe for salmon"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Soak the cedar planks completely in water for 1 hour in water or even more Soak longer if you have time.
Step 2
While your planks are soaking make the marinade by mixing the oil with the next 7 ingredients in a large glass bowl. Add the salmon into the marinade, turn a few times to coat in the marinade. Refrigerate 3-4 hours turning the fillets in the marinade frequently.
Step 3
Preheat your outdoor grill for medium heat. Place the planks on the grill grate, then give a few minutes when your boards start to smoke and crackle then you are ready to gill.
Step 4
Remove the salmon from the marinade then place onto the hot planks (discard the marinade). Cover and grill for about 18-20 minutes. Fish is done when you can just flake it with a fork (remember the fish will still continue to cook even after you remove it from the grill overcooked fish is dry so don't over cook it!)
Step 5
