Step 1

Place cauliflower and mushrooms in microwavable 1 1/2 quart bowl. Add water and dot with butter.

Step 2

Cover with wax paper or paper towel and microwave for 5 minutes, stir and check for tenderness.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

This was a great quick and easy side dish. I am only recently starting to appreciate microwave cooking. This coes out just as good as any other method of steaming and less to clean up because it can be mixed, cooked, and served all in the same bowl.
