"I have not tried the commercial dressing so don't know how this compares, but this is a very lovely dressing on either a lettuce or veggie salad. I leave out the salt as the ketchup has enough in it for us."

Definitely a keeper. The only thing that kept if from 5 stars for us was the amount of sugar. It was a bit too much. Next time, I will cut the sugar by about half. Otherwise, thanks for posting a great dressing recipe!

Love Catalina dressing, this one's a keeper that has made it to my recipe drawer. Has already seen to repeats. Made using splenda, malt vinegar and a 1/4 teaspoon paprika. Used the grated onion and also tried with onion powder, for me both worked equally well. It's a Catalina dressing recipe I highly recommend to salad lovers.

Catalina dressing has always been a favorite I love trying different recipes for it, so far only a few have been tops for me and this one is a keeper. I used 1/4 teaspoon paprika and added in 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic powder otherwise I made as written, what a great recipe, thanks!

A very nice sweet dressing. I used it over a romaine salad with leftover chicken breast and YUM!!!! Made for the Billboard Recipe Tag Game.
