"This dish is named after the town by the same name in France. Lovely side dish that is quick and easy to put together. You can make this with parsnips. The cooking time is variable as to the size you cut the carrots. Just cook them until they are the way you like them."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place all ingredients in saucepan except the chives/parsley.

Step 2

Cook the carrots or parsnips over medium heat until the water evaporates.

Step 3

Permit them to brown in the butter.

Step 4

Serve them with a sprinkling of chives or parsley.

These carrots made for a delicious side to our fish for Easter. We really loved these. They are so easy to prepare and cook, whilst these were simmering I could get on cooking the rest of the meal. This recipe just about cooks itself!

A wonderfully tasting side that the DS and I enjoyed so much though when making next time I will do the simmer process with the lid off so it cooks in the time limit given. Thank you Luvcookn made for Billboard Recipe Tag Game.
