Step by Step Method

Step 1

Bring 5 cups water and chocolate to a simmer in a saucepan , stirring to dissolve the chocolate. Mix in 1/4 cup cream.

Step 2

Whip remaining 1 cup cream and the powdered sugar in a bowl using an electric mixer until peaks form.

Step 3

Drizzle caramel sauce over and swirl together, forming streaks.

Step 4

Divide the hot chocolate among 6 mugs. Top with a generous amount of caramel whipped cream.
