Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325F. Lightly coat a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

Place eggs in large bowl. Use hand mixer or whisk to beat until very thick.

Step 4

Add flour mixture, pudding mix, half-and-half and vanilla; mix well with whisk. (Do not use an electric mixer.)

Step 5

Fold in chocolate chips.

Step 6

Pour intoprepared pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 7

Place pan on wire rack to cool slightly before cutting into bars.
