Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 packages (3.5 ounce) butterscotch pudding mix (Cook and Serve type, not instant)
  • 1/3 cup half and half cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 325F. Lightly coat a 9 x 9-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Step 2: Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

  • Step 3: Place eggs in large bowl. Use hand mixer or whisk to beat until very thick.

  • Step 4: Add flour mixture, pudding mix, half-and-half and vanilla; mix well with whisk. (Do not use an electric mixer.)

  • Step 5: Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Step 6: Pour intoprepared pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.

  • Step 7: Place pan on wire rack to cool slightly before cutting into bars.
