Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 F

Step 2

Combine all ingredients except for raisins

Step 3

Divide raisins evenly into pastry shells

Step 4

Fill cups 2/3 with the syrup mixture

Step 5

Bake on bottom shelf for 12 to 15minutes or just until set

Step 6

Cool completely before removing from pan

These were great tarts, you don't mention if the shortening is to be soft or melted I used butter instead and microwaved it for 6 seconds to make it quite soft, I used frozen thawed tart shells I'm to lazy to make shells from scratch, butter tarts are the ultimate treat no matter soft or hard these turned out in between and went very quickly, thanks for another one of your great recipes!
