Butter Buds
"A recipe from my mom's handwritten cookbook, one also made by my grandmother sees this recipe well over a hundred years old. So quick and easy and one we love and one my mom's favourite cookies especially over the holidays. The original recipe calls for 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening, these days I use a cup of butter. Back when flour was sifted, I simply whisk the flour before measuring."
