Step 1: Preheat oven to 350.
Step 2: In large bowl cream butter, and vanilla.
Step 3: Add beaten egg.
Step 4: Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 5: Roll teaspoons full into balls, put on cookie sheet (I like to line cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone non-stick mat).
Step 6: Press finger in centre, fill with jam, jelly or a maraschino cherry.
Step 7: Bake 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown.
