Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cut the brisket into 4 pieces an then dredge the pieces in flour, reserving the remaining flour.

Step 2

Place half of the onion slices in the bottom of a slow cooker and top with the beef. Sprinkle with the reserved flour, salt and pepper. Top with remaining onion slices.

Step 3

In a bowl combine sauce ingredients (chili sauce - garlic). Pour over meat/onions and cover. Cook on high for one hour and then reduce heat to low and cook for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender. Remove beef with a slotted spoon; replace the cooker lid.

Step 4

Shed beef with 2 forks and return beef to the cooker,stirring well.

Step 5

Spoon mixture over the toasted bread or in the rolls.

Delicious brisket served up on Brioche rolls. Excellent results using the crockpot. A fix it and forget it kinda day which works well for us!

A keeper! I love slow cooker meals...it's like having a private chef cooking while your away. So, when I find delicious slow cooker meals like this one, I'm hooked. I followed the recipe as stated, except that I minced my onions (my son claims to not like onions, so I've got to hide them somehow). I also added a couple of good squirts of hot sauce. Thank you ellie for another great addition to my repertoire:)

This is delicious. Lots of flavor and the meat was melt in your mouth tender. Very easy to make. I made the full recipe and will freeze half to take with us on our next RV trip.
