Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a bowl, cream the 1/4 cup of butter, gradually blend in the sugar. Beat in the egg.
Step 2
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Spread the batter over the bottom of a greased baking pan (9x9x2 1/2")
Step 4
Scatter the partially defrosted blueberries over the batter.
Step 5
In a bowl stir in the remaining flour, sugar and cinnamon together, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Step 6
Scatter over blueberries and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until nicely browned on the top.
Step 7
Cut into square to serve while still warm.
Step 8
If desired add a warm nutmeg Sauce
