Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package (8 ounces) frozen blueberries (slightly thawed)
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl, cream the 1/4 cup of butter, gradually blend in the sugar. Beat in the egg.

  • Step 2: Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together and add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk and vanilla; mix thoroughly.

  • Step 3: Spread the batter over the bottom of a greased baking pan (9x9x2 1/2")

  • Step 4: Scatter the partially defrosted blueberries over the batter.

  • Step 5: In a bowl stir in the remaining flour, sugar and cinnamon together, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.

  • Step 6: Scatter over blueberries and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until nicely browned on the top.

  • Step 7: Cut into square to serve while still warm.

  • Step 8: If desired add a warm nutmeg Sauce

  • Step 9: Recipe on zazz
