"This recipe can be found in many blogs and recipe sites on the Internet - it's really good. I've made it for potluck dinners (no leftovers) and it was even requested by dinner guests (who took the leftovers home!) so I've never gotten a pic other than when it was still in the oven!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes, until it is no longer pink. Drain. Stir in tomatoes, sugar, salt & pepper; cook 5 minutes. Add tomato paste and bay leaf, and simmer 30 minutes.

Step 2

Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain. Stir together cooked egg noodles, chopped green onions, and sour cream until mixed.

Step 3

Place noodle mixture in bottom of a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with beef mixture; sprinkle evenly with cheeses. Bake, covered with aluminum foil, at 350F for 35 minutes.

Made this on the weekend, we loved it!! Similar to one we have enjoyed over the years but different enough to be added to our family favourites. Made as posted and wouldn't change a thing. Served this with a green salad - comfort food at it's best! Can certainly see no leftovers at a potluck!
