"This makes for a great Sunday Dinner Main. I serve it with mashed potatoes and gravy made with the drippings from the roast."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Mix together the herbs and seasoning and rub seasoning mix all over roast.

Step 3

Place the seasoned roast on rack in pan.

Step 4

Add a bit of water, or broth to bottom of pan and cook uncovered in 350 degree Fahrenheit oven until roast reaches 180 degrees (Depending on size, about 3 hours. Check every hour or so to make sure you still have liquid in the bottom of pan.)

Step 5

Take out of oven and let rest for 20 minutes.

Step 6

Meanwhile make gravy with drippings (I make a corn starch slurry by whisking 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1/4 cup water then mix it in the drippings that I have brought to a boil)

Step 7

Slice and enjoy!

I can't believe I'm the first person to review this AWESOME pork roast recipe. I followed the recipe exactly as written and it was probably the best pork roast I've ever made. The outside was crusty with seasoned goodness and the inside was tender and juicy. And it smells delightful while it is in the oven. I didn't make gravy with the drippings but I should have. THANK YOU for sharing this incredible recipe! Made for Billboard Tag.
