Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a greased 13x9 baking pan layer the asparagus, ham, 2 cups cheese and onion. In a bowl, beat eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Step 2
Pour mixture into dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean (it's important not to over bake this just bake until set).
Step 3
After baking IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF the stove heat. Immediately spread 1 cup shredded cheese on top then place back in the (no heat) oven until cheese is melted.
