I put everything in the slow cooker this morning and let it cook for 6 hours on medium and it worked perfectly. I used white kidney beans instead of the chick peas as DH despises them. I could not enjoy this due to food allergies, but hubby loved it! He gave this 5 stars. The aroma that fills the house as this is cooking is amazing.

This smelled great cooking, due to the allspice. I did half the recipe. All the different ingredients went very well together. I think the garbonzo beans were a nice addition to this stew. I made this for games in the forums.

I just love crockpot recipes that you can fix in the morning and come home to a great-smelling house and delicious meal. We loved the beef, green beans, chickpeas, and fire-roasted tomato combo. This recipe sure did hit the spot tonight. Thank you!
