Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F.

Grease a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

Mix together thoroughly sugar, butter, and eggs.

Stir in buttermilk and apricots. (If using nuts, add now)

Sift together and stir in flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.

Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted in center comes out clean.
