I hosted Sunday's Canada weekend potluck garden party. The steak, Beer Can Chicken and vegetables were grilled to perfection thanks to the fellow manning the grill.

Dissie wrote:OH yeah, bringing coleslaw too. But since its like 5 couples getting together and one is bringing all the entertainment (boats, jet ski's) They are free from cooking, so its up to us for the rest. We hope to catch fish to grill, I am bringing hamburger and steak, but need to bring side dishes. Beans would probably be good or atleast appreciated. What else?
I'm making your broccoli cauliflower salad this weekend. :D

That corn salad is giving me ideas. I had planned to grill some corn tomorrow. I could do more than what we need and add grilled corn. Hmmmmmm

Racr, that salad sounds good too. I had forgotten about that. Most people love that!

You won't be sorry going with the corn salad Dissie, yet to see that salad anywhere! At our group potlucks double batch always sees to an empty bowl and recipe requests. Whatever you decide on have fun planning and enjoy your day. While you celebrate your holiday we celebate son's birthday! :)

You may want to have a look at a couple of our summer potluck favourites.
