Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F .

In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, baking powder, and salt.

Add the water and oil, and stir until well combined.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

This was tricky to make because the exact right kind of cornmeal is difficult to find in Germany. I ended up using fine polenta, and it worked amazingly well. The bread is very dense and kind of crumbly, but tastes super-yummy. It actually reminds me of Romanian mamaliga made into a bread, a bit fluffier that mamaliga, but still quite similar, maybe because I used polenta LOL I think I'll make it again because it's easy and quite practical as a gluten free bread to accompany dishes that call for baguette or something like that. Thanks for sharing! Made for FYC game
