Step by Step Method

Step 1

Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

Step 2

Cut sweet potatoes into lengthwise halves and arrange in a single layer in prepared dish.

Step 3

In a saucepan, heat jelly and margarine, stirring constantly, until melted.

Step 4

Drizzle half of the guava syrup over potatoes.

Step 5

Season lightly.

Step 6

Bake in oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Step 7

Turn potatoes.

Step 8

Bbaste with remaining syrup.

Step 9

Bake for 15 more minutes.

Talk about enhancing sweet potatoes! These are so easy peasy to put together, but it comes out like a million bucks - yumma, yumma. Used guava paste which I had on-hand, but I added a bit of water to smooth it out to a jelly consistency. We had this alongside our weeknight meal, but this would also be a winner side for the Holidays. Thank you, Dee, for sharing.
