Step by Step Method
Step 1
Add oil in a soup pot and add ham and onion
Step 2
Add garlic.
Step 3
Sauté them on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion looks translucent.
Step 4
Add the chopped carrots, pepper and celery .
Step 5
Keep sautéing until the vegetables are soft.
Step 6
Add the frozen beans, paprika, salt, pepper and dried thyme.
Step 7
Add the fresh diced tomatoes.
Step 8
Mix everything well.
Step 9
Add water, dried herbs and potatoes and allow it to simmer for 30 minutes.
Step 10
Taste and season if necessary.
Step 11
Add vinegar little by little to make the soup a little bit sour, but taste the soup to know when to stop. Some people like it to be more sour.
Step 12
Serve a dollop of sour cream in bowl.
