  • When selecting tilapia, look for firm, white flesh with a mild, slightly sweet flavor.
  • Use fresh cilantro for the best flavor, and be sure to rinse it before chopping.

  • Substitute salmon for the tilapia - Salmon is a richer source of omega-3 fatty acids than tilapia, which can provide additional health benefits.
  • Substitute olive oil for the butter - Olive oil is a healthier source of fat than butter and can provide a more subtle flavor.

Fishless Tacos Substitute 2 pounds of tempeh for the tilapia, and bake for 15 minutes. Instead of butter, top with olive oil. Add diced avocado, pickled red onions, and a drizzle of vegan sour cream for extra flavor.

Mexican Street Corn Salad - This vibrant and flavorful side dish is the perfect accompaniment to the Tilapia Tacos. It's made with grilled corn, cotija cheese, and a flavorful lime-chili dressing that will add a spicy kick to the tacos.

Spicy Black Bean Soup: This hearty and flavorful soup is the perfect partner for the Tilapia Tacos. It's made with black beans, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and a blend of spices that will add a depth of flavor to the tacos. The soup is also vegetarian-friendly and can be served as a main course or side dish.
