"I love chili,but some are just too spicy and then there are some that are way too mild. So I wanted to try to come up with one that had the right amount of spice, and I think " The Spice Is Right " with this one.As with most chilis, the longer you let them simmer the better they get.If you try this I sure hope you enjoy it.Submitted to " ZAZZ "on July 26th.,2012"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large dutch oven over medium heat,add ground beef,onion,and first amount of seasoning salt.

Step 2

Cook until beef is browned and onion is tender.

Step 3

After returning beef to pan,add tomatoes,beans, and chili seasonings.

Step 4

Stir well to combine ingredients and reduce heat to simmer.The longer the chili simmers the better the flavor.

This is a great recipe for making in our RV. I subbed ground turkey and kidney beans, but otherwise made as written. Spices were perfect for us. I browned the turkey and then dumped everything into a crockpot and we took off for the day. Got back to the RV and this warming dinner was waiting for us.
