"This is more of a technique than a recipe. Try this method your bacon will be better for it!"

Original is 0 servings

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Cut the package of bacon in half. You can put half back in the fridge or cook it all. Cutting the bacon in half promotes even cooking and reduces curling.

Step 2

Place the individual strips on a cold broiler pan. Now place the pan in a cold oven. Set heat to 400 degrees (with bacon in the oven). Bake the bacon for 20 minutes or until you see very tiny bubbles of fat on the meat. Remove the bacon from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes (don't worry if it's not crisp the bacon will crisp as it cools).

Step 3

If it's not crispy enough place bacon strips in a hot fry pan and cook to the desired crispness.

I really liked this way of making bacon. The bacon came out crunchy, just the way we like it, leaving it in a little longer than designated time. Just watch it at the end of cooking time and when it looks done to your liking pull it out, and you will never go back to frying it on the stove again.
