Tahini Sauce for Veggies

"This is good over steamed veggies, brown rice, etc. Alter garlic and onion to suit your taste. Tamari sauce is by far better here, but you can substitute soy sauce, although you'd probably want the low-sodium kind."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Melt butter over low heat, saute onion until translucent (about 5-8 minutes).
Step 2
When onion is very close to being done, add the garlic and salt.
Step 3
Over the lowest heat, whisk in the flour a little at a time. Cook it for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, adding only a drop or two of water if it's getting clumpy.
Step 4
Add tahini and whisk for another few minutes, still on the lowest heat setting.
Step 5
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 - 15 min over low heat. Adjust seasonings to your taste after it's simmered for at least 5 min.
Step 6
Great to use over brown rice, vegetables, etc.
