Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the milk and egg.

Step 3

In a small - medium bowl, place the bread crumbs.

Step 4

Add the milk and egg; set aside.

Step 5

Mix the meat, all the seasonings, the onion, and the green bell pepper in a large bowl.

Step 6

Add the milk mixture, the mushrooms, and the cheese.

Step 7

Mix everything together.

Step 8

Grease or butter a loaf pan, then add the meatloaf.

Step 9

Bake it uncovered for 1 1/2 hours.

This was so good...the hubby loved the swiss cheese in it...I cut back a bit on the milk...I thought it would be too soupy...I'm glad I did because it did turn out on the soft side...I cooked it under the broiler a bit to add some color to it...I'm going to fry up the leftovers for meatloaf sandwiches...made for "FYC" tag game...

This was REALLY good... like a swiss & mushroom burger meatloaf. We devoured this and will make it again. (I wish I had gotten a better photo -- sorry!)
