"This is a great summertime drink to have when it's hot out, or when you are entertaining, although you can mix up a batch and have it anytime really! You can double or triple this recipe with good results. PLEASE NOTE: If you don’t want the punch to become watered down by the ice, freeze either lemon juice or beer in ice cube trays the night before, using that in place of ice in this recipe, adding a bit more sugar to combat the bitterness/tartness that will increase as those cubes melt. Found on Beeroness blog."

Made as written, despite the fact I've never cared for beer & thought this was just too weird not to try. I expected to hate it & not review it for that reason. But I've never been so wrong about a recipe! My Dallas roots made me a huge fan of strawberry margaritas, but this is now tied w/them as my #1 fave. It's so good & easy-to-make. My only issue was the # of servings. Using no ice, the recipe made 2 beer mug servings. You could stretch it to 4 6-oz servings, but 6 becomes a 4-oz sample IMO. Thx for sharing this w/us, Linda. I loved it! :-)

I made this to bring to a neighborhood block party. They had a keg of beer, but this was way better and it went over VERY well! We drank a few of these while we watched the fire works and it was very refreshing in this hot weather!
