"This tea is good for healing the stomach when you have heartburn or have been taking a proton pump inhibitor. The problem, most often, is not that you have too much acid, but that you don't have enough to digest your food. That's why you can't eat as much and a heavy meal (with meat) does not go down well. Try this tea, sipping it all day for awhile, to help heal the lining of the stomache. Then add in something to bring up the acidity, ie apple cider vinegar or a supplement. Nettles are so nutritious and good for so many issues. The chamomile, marshmallow root and aloe are the stomach healers. Cook time includes steeping time. NOTE: I usually quadruple the herbs (or more) and keep them in the freezer. Yields 1 gallon"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Bring a gallon of water to a boil and immediately turn it off.

Step 2

Add 1-1/2 to 2 cups of the dried herbs and stir well. Cover and steep for 24 hours, minimum.

Step 3

Strain out the herbs, pressing through a sieve to get all the water out. Reserve them to use again, starting a new pot. You can use them one more time, after refrigerating.

Step 4

Add the aloe in, stir and add any sweetener you would like. I use liquid stevia.
