- When selecting shrimp, look for ones that are firm and have a pinkish hue.
- If you don't want to use andouille sausage, you can substitute it with any other type of sausage or even bacon.
- Substitute the shrimp for tofu: This substitution is great for those who are vegetarian or vegan. It is also a great way to add more protein to the dish without the use of meat.
- Substitute the white rice for quinoa: Quinoa is a healthier option than white rice, and is considered a complete protein, making it a great choice for vegetarians and vegans.
Vegetarian Stir Fry Replace shrimp with 1/2 pound of firm tofu, cut into cubes. Omit the sausage and use vegetable broth instead of soy sauce.
Coconut Rice: This fragrant and flavorful side dish is the perfect accompaniment to Stir Fried Shrimp with Snow Peas. The creamy coconut milk and nutty flavor of jasmine rice provide a great balance to the savory flavors of the stir fry.
Kung Pao Chicken: This spicy and flavorful Chinese dish is the perfect complement to Stir Fried Shrimp with Snow Peas. The sweet and savory flavors of the Kung Pao Chicken will provide a nice contrast to the light and fragrant flavors of the coconut rice.
