Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a saucepan combine the first 4 ingredients (milk - cinnamon stick); scrape in the seeds from the vanilla bean and add the pod and then bring mixture to a simmer; remove from heat, cover and let steep for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Remove chile, cinnamon stick and vanilla pod; discard. Stir in chocolate and heat over medium-high heat, whisking constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth (5 minutes). Remove from heat and add liqueur.
