"I absolutely LOVE this shrimp recipe, it's quite easy to make with the perfect amount of spicyness but you could always add more red pepper flakes to increase the heat"
Melt butter with the olive oil in a saute pan. When the mixture is hot, add the garlic, white pepper, red pepper flakes, oregano, and cayenne pepper making sure to stir well. When garlic looks cooked but not brown (about 3 minutes) add the shrimp. Toss the shrimp about in the pan, coating them with the spiced oil
Add the lemon juice and keep tossing over the heat. Quickly add the parsley, bread crumbs, and Parmesan. Toss to coat completely (The shrimp should now be bright pink and cooked through). Place the pan under the broiler until cheese looks melted (1-2 minutes). Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serve over the cooked pasta, with additional Parmesan sprinkled over the top.

This Spicy Shrimp and Linguine recipe is similar to the classic Italian dish called Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, which translates to garlic and oil. This dish is said to have been invented by Italian soldiers during the First World War, who used the ingredients they had on hand to create a tasty meal.
This dish is also a favorite of celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, who often features it on her show Giada at Home. She often adds her own twist to the classic dish by adding a bit of crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of extra heat.
