Step 1

For the burgers, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with hands until blended thoroughly. Refrigerate the beef mixture covered for 2 hours or you can refrigerate up to 24 hours.

Step 2

Form in to six even patties. Grill, broil or skillet fry (grilling is better) until thorough cooked through.

Step 3

Place on warmed buns and assemble with the toppings.

A great way to switch up your burger. Since the chili flakes say a tablespoon and a teaspoon I wasn't sure what it should be, but went on the lowest end. I also added a lot more capers and cheese, and those flavors were really great in it - so much so that I think you could do even more. Topping them with another couple tablespoons each of cheese and capers per burger would soar these over the top.

Bergy (RIP" Forever in our Kitchen)

This burger could turn into one of my favorites - Just enough spice to make it interesting. I used mozzarella (I had it on hand) but next time will try provolone. I left off the bacon much as I love it. Added a tomato slice. Thanks RecipeGirl for a great Saturday night burger.

These burgers are a cinch to ship up and get on the table. My husband really liked the flavors from the chilies and capers. With all the other ingredients there was a good balance of flavor. I love having new burger recipes to try and this will be repeated!

Come summer one cannot have too many burger recipes. Other than only having 3 cloves of garlic on hand I made as posted using mozzarella cheese.So easy so good. Will be making these again for sure.
