Step by Step Method
Step 1
Boil water and 1 teaspoon salt in a medium sauce pan to blanch asparagus.
Step 2
Mix together the olive oil, hot sauce and garlic powder.
Step 3
Once water boils, add asparagus and boil for 3 minutes or until just tender but not very soft).
Step 4
Transfer asparagus to ice water in a medium bowl to stop cooking process.
Step 5
Place asparagus in a glass container that has a lid.
Step 6
Pour olive oil/hot sauce mixture over asparagus. Add in garlic slices.
Step 7
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
